Aftercare for Scalp Micropigmentation

Aftercare for hair micropigmentation should be as follows.

Day 1:
  • The application area should be allowed to rest.
  • The application area should not be cleaned or moistened.
  • Contact with water and soap should be avoided.
  • Excessive sweating should be avoided.
  • Sunbathing, saunas and Turkish baths should be avoided (first 4 weeks).
  • Hats or berets should not be worn for long periods of time.
  • Direct sunlight should be avoided (for the first 4 weeks).
  • Hair should not be shaved off.
  • Bathing should be avoided for the first 24 hours.
  • Hair should not be dyed (first 3-4 weeks).
After scalp application:
  • The rules of the first day should continue to be followed.
  • You can shave carefully after the first two days.
  • Shampoos containing chemical ingredients should not be used for the first 2-3 days after application. You can shower without shampoo and wash your hair with lukewarm water only.
  • Avoid swimming in the sea for the first 4-5 days after medication. If you wear a cap, you can swim after 5 days.
  • What are the continuing rules for aftercare.
  • Direct sunlight should be avoided when using 5spf sunscreen.
  • Check-up appointments should be attended 20-30 days after the last session.
  • If there are multiple sessions, the hair should be washed with warm water between sessions without shampoo.
If the above recommendations and rules are followed, the life of the hair microblading will be greatly extended. However, it should be known that no hair microblading application is permanent. The lifespan of hair micropigmentation is 3-5 years depending on skin type and post-care. If the ink color becomes saturated or is completely extracted by natural processes, the color can be replenished.

It should be known that slight redness and swelling may occur within the first 1-2 days after hair micropigmentation. Crusting may also occur in the application area. These should not be interfered with.
